Credits and billing
Where did my credits go?
Credits are spent by AI effects. The retro camera, filters, templates, and the editor run on your device and cost nothing. An effect is charged when you start it and paid back automatically if it fails.
I subscribed and my credits have not arrived
Credits are granted after the App Store confirms the purchase, which usually takes a few seconds. If the balance has not moved after a minute, reopen the app. If it still has not, write to us with the date of the purchase.
Can I buy credits without a subscription?
No. The credit packs — 100, 500, and 1200 credits — are available only while you have an active subscription. If a pack does not appear in the app, check that the subscription is still active.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us, and we cannot cancel one for you. On your iPhone: Settings, then Apple Account, then Subscriptions. Apple's own instructions are at support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Credits you have already been granted stay on your balance.
Refunds
Purchases are made from Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue one. Where an AI effect fails, the credits it cost are returned automatically, which is the remedy the app itself provides.
Using the app
My AI result has not arrived
AI effects are processed on our servers and can take minutes, and video results take longer than photo ones. The job continues while the app is closed. Finished results appear in the app and under Settings, then Your creations. If a result never arrives and credits were charged, the credits are refunded automatically; if they are not, write to us and we can tell you what happened to the job.
Where are my results saved?
Results are kept inside Monet. They are not written to your device's photo library unless you save them yourself.
The result is not what I expected
AI effects are rendered by a model and models get things wrong. A clearer, better-lit source photo generally produces a better result, and different styles suit different photos. There are around 2000 styles to try.
Which features need credits?
- AI effects — photo and video results. These cost credits.
- Retro camera and filters — LUTs, grain, film frames, date stamps. On device, no credits.
- Templates — collage and design projects. On device, no credits.
- Editor — crop, adjust, layers. On device, no credits.
Content and safety
What happens to my photo?
Photos you send for an AI effect are uploaded to our servers and passed to the third-party AI provider that renders the effect, then deleted from our storage within 24 hours. We do not use faces to identify anyone, do not create faceprints, do not train models on your photos, and do not sell them. Face detection used to group photos of people in your gallery runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework and is never uploaded. The full detail is in the Face data section of the Privacy Policy.
Consent
You are asked to agree before your first AI effect, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time in Settings. Withdrawing stops any further uploads.
How do I delete my data?
Settings has an option to delete your server-side data. Results already saved to your device stay there until you delete them yourself.
Reporting a result
If you believe something the app produced should not have been produced, send it to hello@jazzgames.net and we will look at it. What you may and may not ask for is set out in the Terms of Use.
