Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Jazz Games (“Jazz Games”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Monet mobile application and related websites (collectively, the “Services”), contact our support staff, or otherwise interact with us.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this policy whenever you use the Services.

1. Who we are

Monet is operated by Jazz Games. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@jazzgames.net.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Monet, we may collect:

• Device identifier. An anonymous device UUID we generate and store on your device so we can sync preferences, edit history metadata, and purchases without requiring an account.
• Photos you choose to edit. Photos you capture or select stay on your device for on-device looks, beauty tools, and layers. If you use AI or Style features that require server-side processing, the photo you choose — which may contain a face — is uploaded briefly so we can return a generated result. See “Face data” below. Uploaded photos used for processing are deleted from our storage shortly after processing. Results you save remain on your device unless you delete them.
• Layer & look assets. Downloadable layer artwork and related assets may be cached on your device to improve performance. You can clear this cache in Settings.
• Edit activity metadata. Non-content signals such as which categories or tools you use, so we can understand product usage and improve the app.
• Purchase & subscription data. Processed by Apple and our subscription partner RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status needed to unlock Premium features; we do not store full payment card details.
• Diagnostics & usage. Technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, and approximate usage events via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, to keep the app reliable and improve the product.
• Advertising measurement (where permitted). With your permission on iOS (App Tracking Transparency) or via platform settings, we may use advertising identifiers to measure campaign performance. We do not sell your personal information.
• Support communications. Information you send when you contact us (for example by email).

3. How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve Monet (editing tools, looks, layers, Premium features)
• Process Style edits when you request them and return stylized results
• Process subscriptions and restore purchases
• Measure reliability, diagnose crashes, and understand feature usage
• Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Use
• Comply with legal obligations

Monet creates stylized, artistic photo results. It is not a medical, diagnostic, or identity-verification service.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Services, including with:

• Service providers such as Google Firebase (hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting), Google Gemini (Style photo processing), and RevenueCat (subscription status)
• App platforms (Apple App Store) for distribution and billing
• Advertising partners for install attribution where permitted by your device settings and consent choices
• Legal / safety recipients when required by law or to protect Jazz Games, our users, or others
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Photo processing

On-device looks, beauty tools, and layers process photos locally on your device. When you use AI or Style features that require server-side processing, images are transmitted securely to our backend and to the AI provider that renders the result, processed to generate that result, and then deleted from our storage. You can continue using Monet’s on-device tools without uploading photos for server-side processing.

5a. Face data

Many Monet effects are applied to photographs of people, so a photo you send for an AI effect will usually contain a face. We treat that as sensitive, and this section says exactly what happens to it.

• On your device. Monet detects whether a photo contains a face so it can group photos with people in them in your gallery. This detection runs entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. It produces no faceprint and no identity, and none of it is ever uploaded, stored on our servers, or shared.
• Sent for AI effects. When you tap Create on an AI effect, the photo you selected — including any face in it — is uploaded to our storage and passed to the third-party AI provider that renders the effect. This happens only for photos you explicitly choose, and only after you have agreed to it in the app.
• What we do not do. We do not use faces to identify or recognise you. We do not create, derive, or store faceprints, face templates, face embeddings, or any other biometric identifier. We do not use your photos or the faces in them to train AI models. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with anyone other than the processing provider described above.
• How long it is kept. Photos you upload for AI processing are automatically deleted from our storage within 24 hours. Results generated for you are kept so you can find them again in the app, until you delete them.
• Your control. You are asked to agree before your first AI effect, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time under Settings. Withdrawing stops any further uploads. To also remove what was already processed, use the data deletion option in Settings or email us.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes. Photos you upload for AI or Style processing are deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload. You may request deletion of server-side data associated with your device identifier by emailing hello@jazzgames.net. After deletion, your device identifier may be retained solely so Premium purchases can still be restored.

7. Children

Monet is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have such information, contact hello@jazzgames.net and we will delete it promptly.

8. International transfers

Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations in accordance with this Policy.

9. Your choices & rights

• Limit or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings
• Decline App Tracking prompts on iOS
• Clear downloaded layer cache in the app
• Request deletion of your Monet server-side data by contacting us
• Uninstall the app at any time using your device’s standard uninstall flow

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email hello@jazzgames.net.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
